In 1928 Cesca was the first such tubular-steel frame, caned seat type of chair designed by Marcel Breuer. The name was a tribute to Breuer’s adopted daughter Francesca. One of the original ones from that time is displayed in New York in the Museum of Art. It is considered among the “10 most important chairs of the 20th century”.
Our Cesca cantilever armchair is a replica, 100% Made in Italy. The structure is in polished chrome or lacquered tubular steel; the seat and back are available with a woven cane or polyurethane foam, upholstered with fabric or leather. Natural, black or white back and seat outline available.
