Grand Life Design by Christophe Pille is a collection destined for large and prestigious outdoor spaces. The pickled or natural teak structure with a metal core is covered with oversized cushions that welcome the body with a feeling of deep and enveloping comfort.
Inspired by the classic Vienna straw, the weaving is made of synthetic material resistant to UV rays and abrasion. The oversized proportions and soft cushions made with soft-touch fabrics and specific for outdoor use increase comfort and well-being.
Fine woods from cultivation with controlled reforestation, Recyclable synthetic fibres recreate the sensations of organic materials. Varnishes respect the environment, with colours that take their inspiration from nature.

General Information:
- Teak: The hard yellowish-brown teak wood is used primarily for furniture and shipbuilding. Ethimo teak comes from controlled forest plantations in Thailand and Indonesia. The result is an excellent and high-quality material, ideal for outdoor furniture, particularly resistant to temperature, water, humidity, and saltwater changes.
- Pickled Teak: Teak with vintage charm. First, it is brushed to give the surface a rougher, older appearance and remove the natural oil coating. Then it is tinted. After being touched, the teak is treated for the grey pickled finish to give it a silver-grey layer with an antique effect. For the chocolate version, after being brushed, the surface is treated with a warmer, intense colour that still allows the original vein markings of the teak to shine through. This finish gives the wood long-lasting protection from oxidation.
- Rope, in polypropylene and acrylic: The ropes used in the ETHIMO collections are made especially for outdoor use and made in a synthetic material that is highly resistant to UV rays, abrasion and atmospheric events. These are different in their cross-section (flat and round) and composition (polypropylene for the Flat Rope, acrylic for the Round Rope) and are used to create convenient and comfortable woven chairs and chair-back.
- Fabric: All the materials in the ETHIMO collection are specifically made for outdoor use. Other than the particular softness to the touch, they offer the maximum resistance to UV rays and guarantee a long life. A specific treatment protects them from liquids and dirt and makes them easy to clean with a soft sponge, mild soap, or a washing machine at low temperatures. All the waterproof fabrics are characterized by a particular PVC layer, making them 100% waterproof.
