The Kilt collection designed by Marcello Ziliani for Ethimo sees the addition of a new element: a sofa. With its compact proportions and the same comfort as larger sofas, the Kilt sofa has been designed to add to other coordinated aspects of the lounge line, allowing the creation of a complete look living area - and to be alone, furnishing outdoor environments. Like the other seating solutions, the Kilt sofa maintains its intrinsic solidity, well-being and perfect ergonomics. It is available with a natural or pickled teak structure (FSC certified) and polypropylene rope in refined Sand and Dark Gray colours.

General Information:

  • Teak: The hard yellowish-brown teak wood is used primarily for furniture and shipbuilding. Ethimo teak comes from controlled forest plantations in Thailand and Indonesia, resulting in an excellent and high-quality material ideal for outdoor furniture. It is particularly resistant to temperature, water, humidity, and saltwater changes.
  • Ropes: The ropes used in the Ethimo collections are made especially for outdoor use and made in synthetic material that is highly resistant to UV rays, abrasion and atmospheric events. They are different in their cross-section (flat and round) and composition (polypropylene for the Flat Rope, acrylic for the Round Rope). They are used to create convenient and comfortable woven chairs and chair-backs.
  • Cleaning and Maintenance: To clean the dirt and dust that may creep in between the rope weave, wash the furniture with pressurized water and allow it to dry thoroughly. Avoid covering the cabinet when it is still wet.
